Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister, High Education Council (HEC) Board of Trustees Chairman, received here today, in the presence of Dr. Diana Abdulkareem Al Jahrami, HEC Secretary-General, Professor Dr. Yousif Abdulla Al-Hawaj, Board of Trustees Chairman of Ahlia University.
The minister affirmed HEC’s support for private universities, and keenness to ensure that they achieve advanced ranking, regionally and globally.
Dr. Al-Hawaj briefed the minister on the developments of the project to establish a new campus for the Ahlia University.
He said that the HEC’s recent decisions to license a number of academic specialisations at the undergraduate and graduate levels, has had a major role in supporting the Ahlia University towards achieving its goals.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Education and the Higher Education Council for their great interest in developing the higher education sector in Bahrain.
