HEC Secretary General participates in GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahromi, Higher Education Council (HEC) Secretary General, led Bahrain’s delegation at the preparatory meeting for the 23rd meeting of the GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The meeting approved the operational plan for the first year of the Gulf Centre for Scientific Research and Innovation based at the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain.

The meeting also approved establishing a joint GCC programme to support innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education, and the award branches of the Committee of Presidents and Directors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC states.

They also approved the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoU) proposed by the Gulf Network for Quality Assurance of Higher Education to promote the achievements of the GCC states in this regard in regional and international forums.
